The Dando Geotec 10EH (electro-hydraulic control) marks a significant development in drilling rig safety and control.

As well as the features usually associated with geotechnical drill rigs of this size including high-speed/high torque rotary head, head side shift, hydraulic clamps, head side shift and on board coring pump, the EH range of rigs uses state of the art electric over hydraulic controls to improve drilling performance and productivity and greatly improve site safety.

Features include:

Umbilical main drilling control panel. Can be moved to give best drilling visibility. Gives fingertip control of rotation and feed.

Hydraulically actuated, interlocked guarding of the working area. When opened, rotary head torque is minimized and control is transferred to a radio unit. When closed, full torque is restored and drilling control is returned to the umbilical panel. There are emergency stop controls on both control panels as well as a trip-wire cut off within the working area.
