The MTec 6 drilling rig, Dando’s compact, versatile and safety orientated drill rig is proving that it is ideally suited for the demands of the rapidly emerging ground source heat pump (GSHP) geothermal industry.

The powerful rotary head and the machine’s 6,000kg pullback mean that the MTec 6 can drill very quickly up to 200m+ to enable the installation of closed GSHP loop. The rig is also ideal for accessing tricky sites being considerably smaller than a typical 6,000kg machine.

The safety guarding and control system are unique to the MTec 6, having full guarding of the drilling area, which when opened cuts the available torque to the rotary head and transfers control to a secondary handheld remote control.
