Two Truck Mounted Jackal 4000s Supplied to Kuwait

Towards the end of 2016 Dando supplied two truck mounted Dando Jackal  4000s (formerly known as the Multitec 4000) for geotechnical projects in Kuwait.

During a recent commissioning trip the rigs have been drilling test boreholes to 12.5m with 12” diameter continuous flight augers and open hole drilling with mud to 57m. They have also been conducting SPTs with the fitted trip hammer.

Custom built to the customer’s requirements, the rigs are fitted with a large peristaltic Bredel pump capable of pumping very high viscous materials, hydraulic side shift for the rotary head and a hydraulic SPT hammer.

The customer is a diversified company with a number of divisions offering a wide range of services and products. Its survey division is one of the largest professional survey firms in Kuwait, offering services in the fields of land survey and engineering survey, as well as in establishing control for aerial surveys, undertaking hydrographic surveying, and carrying out geotechnical investigation. It is also a representative for many well-known brands in Kuwait.
