Another Two 19HP Terriers Leaving the Dando Factory

Dando recently supplied one of its percussion 19 HP Dando Terrier rigs to a civil engineering company in Hong Kong while a rotary Terrier, with interchangeable masts, has been sold to a geotechnical drilling contractor in Norway.

Available in three mast configurations (percussive, rotary or both), the Dando Terrier is now equipped with a 3 cylinder 19 HP diesel engine, providing increased power, smoother operation and improved ease of access for when maintenance is required.

With the percussive mast, the compact, crawler mounted Terrier is capable of disturbed and undisturbed sampling, SPT, U4 and dynamic probing in areas of tight space and difficult access. The rotary version of the Terrier allows the user to also carry out continuous flight and hollow stem augering; drilling with tricone & drag bits; rotary coring; DTH hammer and Rotary Air Blast (RAB.) The operator can switch easily between rotary and percussive techniques with the interchangeable mast option.
