VIDEO Water Discovery in Borno State, Nigeria Delights Local Children

Supplying water well drilling rigs to the world since 1867, Dando always takes great pleasure in seeing just how much joy a simple yet precious resource like water can bring to a community. The video below taken in Borno State demonstrates this perfectly.

The well was drilled to 600m at a diameter of 12″ with a  6″ stainless steel screen and an 8″ mild steel completion being installed. The video shows air lift development where the 4-1/2″ drill rods have been lowered to 150m and compressed air is used to lift the water out of the well. You can tell by the constant surge of water that this is a very productive well which now has a pump installed producing 30lts/sec. Rest water level is around 30m.
