Drill rods are the largest component of the drill string, and the main function is to provide rotary motion and flushing medium to the bit.

Common sizes available:

Outer Diameter - 2¾", 3”, 3½”, 4”, 4½”, 5”, 5½”

Tool joint size - 2³/₈” Reg., 2³/₈” IF, 2⁷/₈” Reg., 2⁷/₈” IF, 3½”

Reg. Unit length - 1.5m, 3.0m, 6.0m

All drill rods/pipe used with top drive rotary rigs are manufactured with internal upsets. Other rod sizes, lengths and tool joints are available.

ALL RODS CAN BE SUPPLIED WITH OR WITHOUT SPANNER FLATS.
